A sports day in your browser
MedalMeet is twenty sporting events, each boiled down to the moment that decides it: the take-off, the release, the swing, the save. Every event takes under two minutes, and every one ends with a result you can try to beat.
They are HTML5 games. They run in your web browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, with nothing to download and no account to set up.
Bronze, silver and gold
Each event has three targets. Reach the first and you win bronze, the second silver, the third gold. The targets are shown on every event page, along with your personal best and how far you are from the next medal.
Your medals are collected in the table at the top of this page. Twenty golds is a clean sweep. The medals and bests are kept in your own browser, so there is nothing to sign up for, and nobody else sees them.
Four kinds of event
The races are run against the clock: the 100 Metre Sprint, the 50 Metre Swim and three more. In the jumps, throws and lifts, you have three attempts and your best one counts. The ball games give you a set number of shots. And the touch and aim events, such as Curling, reward a steady hand.
Fair targets
The medal standards were set by playing each event with careful timing and then leaving room for human hands. Bronze should be within reach on a first visit. Gold is meant to take practice. Each event page explains exactly how the result is worked out, with nothing hidden, so that when you miss a medal you know what to change.
